Red gooseberry (lololikka) and fish curry

Fish 1 kg

(any kind will do, but sardine, mackerel, etc are the best)

Red gooseberry (ripe) ½ cup

Small onions 8

Green chili 4

Ginger 1 piece

Coriander powder 1 tbsp

Chili powder 1 tsp

Turmeric powder ¼ tsp

Pepper powder ¼ tsp

Mustard a pinch

Small onion 4

Red chili 3

Curry leaves 2 leaves

Coconut oil 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Ground coconut ½ cup


Cut the red gooseberry vertically into four and marinate in salt. Cut the third ingredients also vertically. Mix the fourth ingredients in ½ cup water. Mix the fish with the second, third and fourth ingredients and put in a pan.

Add salt to taste and water and cook the fish. When cooked well, add the ground coconut and boil for some time. Remove from fire and season with the fifth ingredients.
