Ingredients

Prawns 250 gm

Young coconut (cut into ½" strips) of 1 ½ coconuts

Ginger 1 big piece

Garlic 10 cloves

Red chili 6

Onion 8

Chili powder 1 tsp

Turmeric powder 1 pinch

Coriander powder ¼ tsp

Malabar tamarind 3 big pieces

Masala powder ½ tsp

Oil as desired

Preparation

Clean the prawns and marinate in turmeric powder and salt. Crush ginger, garlic, red chili and onion. In an earthen pot put the sliced coconut, the crushed ingredients, tamarind and the powder and then pour ¾ glass of water and salt to taste and cook.

When half cooked put the prawns into it. Dry up the gravy completely and desiccate. Pour oil in a pan and put curry leaves in it. Put the prawns and stir-fry it.
