Meat-Chinese potato (koorka) curry

highly delicious nadan curry.


Meat ½ kg

(it can be beef, mutton,pork)

Coriander powder 1 tbsp, 1 tsp

Chili powder ½ tbsp, ½ tsp

Turmeric powder ¼ tsp, 1 pinch

Onion (medium-sized) 1

Green chili 6

Ginger 2" piece

Garlic 4 cloves

Curry leaves 8 stalks

Chinese potato cleaned and cut 750 gm

Grated coconut 1 cup

Small onion 6

Red chili 4

Coconut oil 1 tbsp

Salt to taste


Cut onion, green chili and ginger into strips. Cook the meat, adding coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, and the chopped raw masala and if needed, a little water. Once the meat is cooked, add the Chinese potato and cook again.

Fry the coconut with the second-written turmeric powder, coriander powder and chili powder. Grind this to paste adding enough water. Add this to the cooked meat. When the water dries up, mix fried small onions and red chili to the meat and serve hot.
