Kashmiri chicken

  1. Chicken      1 kg
  2. Kashmiri chili powder    2 tbsp
  3. Mustard      1 tsp    

    Cinnamon      2 pieces

       Cloves      4            

  1. Chopped ginger     2 pieces

    Chopped garlic     2 cloves

        Chopped onion     2

  1. Crushed cashew nuts    12            
  2. Chopped tomatoes    3         
  3. Dalda      ¾ cup    
  4. Ground raisins     12
  5. Turmeric powder     ¼ tsp
  6. Salt      to taste

Clean the chicken and cut to small pieces. Marinate in turmeric powder and salt for one hour. Grind the third ingredients to a paste. Heat dalda in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces in it.

In the same oil fry the fourth ingredients, then fry the chili powder also.

Add chopped tomatoes to this and sauté till oil oozes out. Mix well adding the paste of the third ingredients. Then put the fried chicken into this and cook well. When the chicken is well-cooked, stir well adding cashew nuts and raisins and remove from fire.
