Wholesome wheat bread is used to make this uppuma, an ideal dish for breakfast. The curd provides the B-Complex vitamin requirement as well.

 
 
Ingredients
01. Wheat bread - 10 slices, cut into small cubes
02. Curd - 1 cup
03. Turmeric powder - ¼  tsp
04. Salt - to taste
05. Water- 2 tbsp
06. Oil - 2 tsp
07. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
08. Green chillies (chopped) - 1
09. Curry leaves - 3-4
10. Ginger (grated) - 1 tsp
11. Onions (chopped) - ¼   cup 
12. Coriander leaves (chopped) - ¼  cup
Preparation
01. Take a bowl and add the curd, turmeric powder, salt and water. Mix well and keep aside.
02. Add the bread pieces to this mixture and mix well.
03. In a non- stick pan, heat the oil and add the cumin seeds.
04. When the cumin seeds splutter, add the green chillies, ginger and curry leaves and sauté well.
05. Now add the onions and sauté very well.
06. When the onions brown, add the prepared bread mixture, and lower the flame.
07. Stir occasionally till the bread turns light brown.
08. Garnish with the chopped coriander leaves.
