Exhausted after the day`s work and feeling too lazy to cook dinner? Here’s a meal at your fingertips, easy to cook and yet wholesome with the goodness

 
 
Ingredients

1.

Mutton/ Chicken with bones/ Liver - ½ kg
Water - 4 cups
Vinegar- 1 tsp
Ginger (sliced long) - 1 tsp
Celery- 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste

2.

Oats - ½ cups
Water - ½ cup

3. Butter - 1 tbsp

4. Onions (sliced log and thin) - ½ cups
5. Flour - 1 tbsp
6. Beans and carrots (sliced very thin and about ½” long) - ¼ cup
7. Boiled green peas - ½ cup
8. Eggs - 2

Preparation

1. Pressure cook the mutton along with water, vinegar, ginger, celery and salt. Strain.
2. From the strained meat separate out a cup of meat and some liver and keep aside. Shred meat to smaller pieces.
3. Cook the oats to a thick batter with water.
4. Sauté onions in butter. Keep watch! And add the flour just before the onions turn brown. When the onions and flour have lost that raw smell, add to it the strained stock.

5. Add the beans, carrots, liver and shredded meat pieces when the stock begins to boil.To this now add in the cooked oats.

6. Beat the eggs with a fork and pour in thin strands into the already cooking soup. All the while keep stirring the soup with a fork. The egg cooks in thready strands all over the soup making it all the more attractive.

Your oats soup is ready to serve.
